Protect ONE side of your duvet (or comforter) from urine, ‘soiling semi-solids’, spilled liquids and stains. No need to wash your duvet. One side of this cover is waterproof. The other side is a regular super soft 200 thread count cotton. Protect either the top of your duvet OR the bottom side – but NOT both sides. With the waterproof side on the top of your bed, the top of your duvet will be protected. With the waterproof side on the bottom side of your duvet you will protect your duvet from spills and liquids where people would sleep. This is also a decorative cover. Both the top and bottom use 100% cotton (200 thread count cotton) as the outer fabric layer (you will have soft luxurious cotton against your body at all times). The waterproof side uses 3 fabric layers laminated together. Top layer: 100% cotton 200 thread count. Middle layer: high tech waterproof/ breathable membrane. Third layer: soft durable stretch polyester backing fabric (protecting the waterproof membrane). The design lets air out, but keeps liquids away from your duvet. No ‘ballooning’ - where the duvet cover gets air inside that can’t get out. Soft and quiet. If you use the waterproof layer on top of your bed you will not even notice the waterproof layer (it’s like sleeping with non waterproof cotton sheets). If you use the waterproof layer on the bottom of your duvet some people find this cover to be hot. The cover is breathable, but not the level of breathability to allow the large amount of moisture we produce when sleeping to escape. The result is it could feel hot when sleeping. (You can have it waterproof, or cooler to sleep under – but, not both). Four ties secure the duvet from shifting. High quality YKK zipper closure. Durable to withstand frequent washings.
